Hehe, Sauber confirmed this morning that Massa will drive a Ferrari next year.

Rhumor says this now :

If Massa go to Ferrari, then Rubens Barrichello at BAR instead of Jenson Button who must go for Williams (he have a contract already sign for it for 06, he needed 75% points of leader to stay at BAR, he realy dont have it, so cant stay at BAR and WIlliams anounced that Button is not to sale he need him...)Nick Heidfeld woud take place of Massa at Sauber.

Hummm, alot of move anounce!!! or only rhumor...

Hello
Yes the Silly season begins in real F1.

Button to Williams yes.

The way Weber is driving he might be going and Hienfeld staying LOL.

As for Barricello I realy doubt that Ferrari will replace him, Although in my oppiuon there are much better drivers out there. But I think Ferrari still think he has great potential. He is getting up in age and has not shown it yet so I don't think he will.

The big thing about the button/williams move is........they don't even have an engine yet...Remember when Villeneuve won the world championship...then williams lost renault engine and had to settle for a ford....Bad move on their part...No power...Which is typical of ford these days..pfffffftttt...

I think it is a mistake

Hi All,

I couldn't agree with you more Hitman.

I just read that FERRARI had offered Barrichello a multi year deal.
I assume he turned it down.(If that is accurate)

I don't think I am wrong in saying that Barrichello is the most successful 2nd driver FERRARI has ever had.Now I know that Micheal has won the championships but to build a team soley around 1 driver in my opinion is a FARCE to say the least.

Eventually the 2nd driver will have had just about enough of that crap.
I have seen races where on the grid there would be almost every employee around Micheal's car and Barrichello would only have 2 or 3 guys with him...RIDICULOUS!!!

Lets face it EVERY driver out there is risking their lives to score points for the team they drive for it is a shame that FERRARI has put Micheal on the highest platoe when really it was the car that brought HIM the fame not the other way around.

As you can see without the car the driver is just a passenger.(in my opinion)

I think that FERRARI have made a HUGE mistake over the years putting BARRICHELLO in the shadows of Micheal and I think this will be the continuation of their downfall.

Don't get me wrong I LOVE FERRARI till the end but there are some things that are just WRONG!!!!!

(this is my opinion)

LET'S RACE!!!!!!!

i can say your not far from reality SteveB,
but Haha Ferrari falling down, NO WAY, im ready to bet wahterver you want, that Ferrari is backing off on purpose... guys go little back in time.

Ferrari was killing the show last year, loosing fan, TV viewer... At begining of season they sign up contract to extend to 2012, and surpringly, "Oncle Berni" accept to aloow them more money to split than other team, but the amount is kept secret... Isint that enough to back off to let the show grow, and allow other to win, to make theyr mind change on sining the 2012 contract? Its the only way to get them, but up to now, only 2 other SiSi team did joint the accord, RedBull and Jordan. All other team (motorist) up to now are going forward to make the Formula(2) compitor to Formula1. But will the Supose Falling Down Ferrari game will help other sign up?

I hope they are not so stupide to fall in that crap plan!!!!

Cya

Will BMW keep villenuve??? Would you guys????

I woud keep him, since he have a last year contract with Sauber, but i woud take as driver 2 a good hope on backup, Who knows, maybe Rubben will end up with BMW!, hehe.

Never forget this, computer are driving car, fast reaction from driver , gas and brake pushing and computer stearing to manage! Now give a basic F1 car, no electronic help, pure driving, youl see Schumaker, Vilneuve maybe Coultard in top 5, youl see who the pro are and the Kids. In past year, even before Vilneuve Jacques, his father was driving, they were so crazy on drving slipering and playing wiht the car in curves... Only pro maniac driver coud accomplished that. But todays not same and Vilneuves is little pass by the technology, hes having problem to get use to it, especialy braking assistance, also he mist a full year, that huge for an F1, being not driving 1 year...

Oups! Am I doing little favoritisme for a quebecois?, maybe little...

Theyre are great driver outhere, if you get driving an F1, your certainly in the top! 1st or last of top, but your at top!

Oh no way

Hello
There is just to much money involved to think any team would back off intentionaly. I mean between the sponcers the comercials and the sales you are talking about a team giving up 100's millions just to back off there is just no way Ferrari or any team would intentionly back off.

I can not amagine Ferrari telling Bridgestone hey listen we are going to back off and let the other teams win for once so you are going to have to take the loss on your comercial use of the tire.

I am pretty sure that bridgestone will say are you out of your F....king mind you are talking about a loss of a billion plus world wide on tire sales alone.
Hey most know I stand by Williams first so I can say this.
Ferrai is a great team and always has been they work very hard and have a lot of pride so there is no way that they could be bought and sold for money that they do not need. When a team is winning the way Ferrai was the money comes to you.
Ferraris problems is simple they got spioled and loss there edge in the new rules they simply made a mistake thinking that they would continue to domenate with out changeing much.

As for Vilneve well he is simply living in the past.
I was Champion and I know everything.
He has blamed everything on the team and on the car.
From the wheels to the Seat he sits his old ass on.
He is no way a team player and he has no where near his fathers talent.

You have also good opinion Hitman, np, only gods knows what ferrari is fucking up with. Cause even if they do it on purpose, none will know, i think even pit crew wont know... only the one who can keep a secret and get well paid. Im just so surprise how after all those KING year, they are no more in the lead, i was just talking in theyr back, lol they worked so hard in past year, hope its not a falldown on purpose, like you said.

For Jacques Vilneuve (father, not the oncle) no comparaison can be done to any 2000 driver can be done... He was the king in is situation of those past year, and Schumy is the king of past few year, time go fast and things change...

Hitman, you still can't take away the fact that Villeneuve is far quicker than Massa these days. See last race.[/quote]

As for Ferrari

Hello
Well Flow
I look at what they did again at the begining of the year like years past they used the 04 car (& this is IMHO) thinking they would still be at the top
just ike in the years before not knowing that the rest of the teams Renualt had made such strides. Then seeing what they had to go against they new that not even the new 05 was going to make a diffrence so they kept the 04 out and tested the 05 even more. Then when nothing seemed to help they went ahead and brought the 05 out hoping it would get better but it did'int. Again this is just my thinking Now it just comes down to buisness sence and money they already know the season is lost so instead of putting money and time building diffrent wings and testing diffrent tires like Williams is doing  and since the 06 season is going to bring even more changes they as a buisness said we will take this season at a loss not invest a bunch of money in to a no win situation and spend are efforts on the 06 season. Just my own thinking on it.
Everytime I here about Williams yet again spending money on this car I think what the hell for you should bethinking ahead in stead they are going back Wards.

2Fast Wrote:

Well 2Fast
Quicker yes alot quicker no in most of the races this year they where side by side on the grid and also raceing each other.
And if I was Villeneuve I would not brag about that or out that on my resame
Lets face it the real reason Villeneuve was hired was for sponcership money what is the best way to gewt money from a sponcer.
Hey I need money to continue racing and look we got Massa on out team
or
Hey I need money to keep racing and look we have a world Champion on the team Vileneuve.
Should it matter that it was 10 years ago and that he barly won that Championship Ok I am being a big prick now.
But lets face it Money taiks the rest Walk

One more thing about Villeneuve (the son as I think we all agree about the father):

No matter what you think about JV's performance on the track, he still has all those years of experience, including many in a startup team. That should be worth gold to another startup team if they could care to listen to him (unlike what Sauber reportedly does/did). If I was buying an F1 team, I would be really glad to have an experienced pilot helping the team and working for peanuts! Even if he was not the fastest, he could save many $$$$ worth in "newbie"-team mistakes. It's not like there were many books on the subject of starting your own F1 team...
