Hi Guys,

I installed F1C on my laptop and I got frame rates between 14 fps and 18 fps. Even when I installed the newest driver from my graphis card (downloaded from http://www.omegadrivers.net).

I thought I could manage at least a frame rate about 50fps with this setup. Do you have any suggestions???

My setup:
OS: Windows XP Service Pack 1
Scherm: 17" breedbeeld TFT-scherm
WXGA resolution 1440x900
Processor: AMD Mobile Sempron 3000+,
Chipset: Via K8T800 northbridge with VT8235CE southbridge
Video: ATI Mobility Radeon M11 (9700) 128MB DDR 2D/3D VGA AGP8x
Audio: 3D surround audio, 4 ingebouwde stereo speakers
interne subwoofer for 4.1 surround sound
Memory: 1GB DDR400 single channel
Harddisk: 60GB 7200rpm

well ferdi, i don't think laptops are made for gaming m8, hehe, try turning the graphics WAY down in the game, and lower the resolution to 800 x 600, see if that helps

I will have to agree with steve here. The laptop monitors do not do gaming very well.Dropping the resolution may change it a bit though it may not change much.Anyone using sp1(service pack 1) should download the netframework 1.1 fix from microsoft. It will make a big difference in most games and if you have some cutscenes from games locking or going blackscreen this fix will solve it.Will it solve ferdis problem. It may as it really helps the radeons.Anyone running a radeon and trying to play say Grand theft auto san andreas(just released).would have problems with it going into the first cutscene.Net framework 1.1 will fix that and other bottleneck problems(slowdown graphics wise).it can be found here.

Yo Ferdi,
sorry m8.Laptops are business machines really.Although I recently went down to the computer store and purchased a smaller avatec for my mother. One thing I did notice about it though. It has an outlet to hook up and external monitor.I presume you have the same thing.Maybe just use a crt monitor to do your gaming on instead.Even if you don't have a monitor outlet(which it should)you can use the svideo outlet which almost all of them have and hook it up to a t.v instead.

Ah ok, my laptop has one, hehe.
I mostly play F1C on my desktop, but hey I just wanna try it on my laptop because it has better specs than my desktop and I wondered why my laptop has bad graphics.

I will try it with an external monitor, thx for the tip!
