First of all, that was a good race. All those who started made it to the end, which is quite an accomplishment at this track.
Unfortunately, some of us were hit by a timing bug, which does not seem to be the same as the start/finish line bug (which appears to be fixed). What happened (to me) was that I was about 30-40 seconds in the lead in front of Xzwins the I missed a turn and went wide (triggering a yellow flag) but could make it to the track without hitting any wall. I lost maybe 10 or 20 seconds at the very worst. While I was offtrack, I noticed the timers and position indicator at the top left of the screen switching and I was now in 3rd position way behind Koma. NOBODY passed me while I was offtrack. Also, that lap lasted over 3 minutes, which is kinda too much for an offtrack excursion with no damage at all (btw, the game did not say I cut the track because I went off to the outside anyways).
So, here are the PROVISIONAL results, subject to change upon further review. This is just what the game said at the end of the race.
Qualifying:
1 Bilbo 1:33.093
2 Steve 1:34.113
3 Koma 1:34.137
4 Xzwins 1:34.622
Race:
1 Xzwins 1:31:27.103
2 Bilbo +0:53.041
3 Koma +1 lap
4 Steve +3 laps
Best lap:
Bilbo 1:31.533 (new PB).
As I said, these results are unofficial and are subject to change upon review. Xz maybe has won but it should not be by that kind of margin because at half-race I was over 30s in front and he did 2 pitstops versus my 3. So it should be much closer if he wins...
I will try to make sense of the replay and will ask a third party (Cart? Flow? Dutch?) to confirm the results.
Anyways, no matter what, that was a good race.
cool race

My gold was only to finish the race because i did'nt do it in the first two race (stalled both times

) !
i qualify fourth on fourth in a close qualifying session with 3 drivers in the same second.
it take a while to get my self it to it. i had a close figth with koma, very nice and clean figth. i enjoyed a lot
finaly i thougth i was finishing first but bilbo made one more lap to finish the race ( bug in the pit ). i did compare the final race result by removing the last lap of bilbo and he beat me by 40 sec .... congraluation bilbo.
and i am so pride of my self... no big mistake ...very glad!!!

If anyone wants to have a look, I have posted the replay and my telemetry here:
http://noaidsracing.webhop.org/narfiles/
(If you also want my setup, it's Erick's with slight modifications to make it race-worthy and adapt it a bit to my style of driving (or lack of)).
I agree with Xz's proposition. Given that I was over 30 seconds in front at half-race, it stands that I should be able to do roughly the same for the second half of the race. Given that Xz did one less pitstop (gaining roughly ~30s), it makes sense that I should finish in front by about 30 seconds. That's the statistics side of it anyways, we could have both made more or less mistakes in the second half, but it does appear to make sense without even adding the laps (which somebody other than Xz and me should probably do).
So the results should look something like (rounded):
1 Bilbo 1:30:47
2 Xzwins +0:40s
3 Koma +1 lap
4 Steve +2 laps
That would also be my first NAR victory (after being very near at least twice)!

Is it the same for Steve, did he got 1 lap more to same situation... his 4th is it is adjusment time? Steve seem to have also same problem...

I gave a lap back to Steve above, so he would be at +2 laps instead of +3 laps...

I looked at the replay and both me and Steve got hit by the bug by spinning at the same place.
My guess (FWIW), is that by going offtrack, we missed the "end of sector 2/start of sector 3" (virtual) line and the game just made us continue our 2nd sector for a whole lap, until we came back to that spot and properly hit that "line". That line is near Turn 10 (by the in-game map terminology) according to the official FIA Bahrain track map. Given that we both missed that turn, with the same (buggy) result, it seems like there is a timing bug at that place, much like the previous start/finish line bug...
I suggest we wait for the 1.2 or non-beta release of that track before running next-year's Bahrain race...

Congrats on your solid 2nd position, Xz. You had me worried for a bit with your different strategy. I was strongly hoping you were not gonna pull a 1-stopper on me!
