Barhein chrono problem??

Was it at barhein that we had weird chrono time? Xzwins told me that in practice race session, when pitting he lost a lap and his friend pit also and him too lost a lap. Like if in the pit line your lap is lost by the computer.. Do any have that problem? Il try one race session, when il get some spare time.

Isn't Bahrain the race last year I complained that I wasn't really a lap down to Cartrulez? I'm pretty sure it was. This would explain why that happened to me. I'm sure I wasn't really a lap down to him. I was like 30 sec off of him and when I came out of pits I was a lap down and it stayed that way.

Im sorry Aaron i dont remember, but to avoid it again, we coud do the race and if a driver complain of a missing lap situation, you coud post a complaint, and we coud check the whole replay to recalculate the total lap done of that driver.
So for barhein, Driver, keep an eye on your lap count, and let us know if you feel that the game is miscaculating your lap.

Aaron is right,
I remember his post about being a lap down even though he wasn't.I hope this isn't going to happen during our next race.We could do as flow says and watch replay and calculate to make sure.

We could take a screen shot of all our lap times and add them up. If there is a problem that is. I remember passing Cart before by last pitstop. I think he had spun because I saw a williams spun. But since I had a stop to go and knew I wasn't first but I wasn't a lap down either. I feel better knowing it wasn't my imagination.

Ok now i tested the race session with Xz. This is what is happening :
If you go in pit, you loose a lap on the clock, your 2 lap will be combine in 1.
This create a problem : if the leader do 3 pits stop, this will make the race 3 laps longer...
All driver seem to be affect by the situation.
So get prepare to this. This suck, BUT at least we are lucky to race on the real track instead of A1 for Barhein. So we need to compose with it, and have fun!
After the race, we will need to watch the raplay in forward to see how many pit driver did, and then add those lap to the total...

Humm shoud we instaure an mandatory number of pit? Because if one driver who lead do 3 pit and the following driver do 2, the leader is gonna be +1:30 from the 2nd driver...
clrearly it woud do this
............1st Carrera.....2nd Flow
1st pit...+1:30.............+1:30
2nd pit...+1:30............+1:30
3rd pit...+1:30.............no pit
final......+4:30..............+3:00
............3 lap down........2 lap down
Carrera woud be faster than me and my by saving a pit i will pass him due to the track problem and i woud stop the race winning in front of Carrera... woudnt be fair. But usulay pit strategy is part of race, but we coud do an exception here.
Any comment??

I think we should cancel this race until we get another version of the track (maybe run it at the end of the season).
While we could maybe force a given number of pitstops for fuel, I am sure there will be many pitstops for repairs and those can't be planned for. Also, if every pitstop costs a lap, it's gonna scr3w up the 90% rule big time for the less lucky/talented/careful...
We could always run the race unofficially next Sunday, just for fun (so the practice will not be totally lost).

I think it will be ok, we did it last year and pulled it off, and with only 7 or 8 drivers per room it shouldnt be terrible.
Can that AckoVCR program be of any help?

Yes it will help since we are gonna be only 6-7 driver. Last race i had all driver lap recorder, cause no lag affect the replay. We shoud rae and see after. If we see major problem and cant get time out of it, then drop the result.
But the number of pit from driver like said higher can affect the number of lap we need to do...
2 pit mean +2 laps more at end, 3 pit mean +3 laps more at end... we must consider that on our fuel load.
Well

Hey Guys
I am not sure if I understand what is happening at this track as far as timing is concerned. But this track has a few problems I don't one big thing is that I think they used another track as a template and that is causeing some or all the problems.
1. You can be in the pit (out side of garage) and switch camara veiws you will be looking at the bottom of the car
2. As you are going down one of the straights the car slowly rises to about 10 feet above the track like if it where going up hill then it slowly drops back down. It is wierd becuase there is a point where you do not have the road.
3. The other day I was trying to follow Flow around and at a Certain point even thou Flow was on the track over to the right of the track a yellow flag kept poping up then as he cleared this section the flag would go away.
This can and will be a problem if you are trying stay with someone or making a pass.
As far as the pitting thing goes maybe we can all do a 2 pit stragie on the same lap since we are all in diffrent cars we should be ok on that point.
I have not done enough laps to know about tire ware or breaks or fuel consuption. And I know this will be bad and throw the whole thing off if one or more have a ACC and have to pit. but this might maje the replay easyier to view.
I have a couple of pics to post may be that will help.

Just to make it clear: there is no way I'm gonna do this race on 2 pitstops. THIS track in particular I'm gonna need AT LEAST 3 pitstops.
I'd rather be a lap down than dead in a wall...
Also, I believe it's irresponsible to have a league race at a track where we (increasingly) know there are kinda major problems.
Hitman: In your first pic, the problem is not with the car being in the air but more that the TV camera shoots from underground. It's quite evident if you watch the pre-race presentation. This track being a beta version, it's understandable that they did not pay much attention to the TV cameras (which I hope nobody drives with!

). The yellow flag and timing problems are much more worrying though. Not counting the invisible wall at pit entrace too!

Ok, Bilbo i think i found out the problem or a way of avoiding it.
In the pit line you must pass at left close the finish/start line.
Its easy, on track at your left, you will see a yellow metal structure sign over the strat/line, in the pit ride neer the gate at your left, REAL CLOSE. If you pass in the pit in middle line, your lap is not count. But passing real close to the left, the game is counting your lap.
see the 1st one is ok, lap count
the 2nd pict, is not good, lap dont count
Make the test and see...

Hehe, interesting. Just be sure NOT to ENTER pitlane that close to the left wall or you will learn the existence of the Mighty Invisible Concrete Wall From Hell(tm)!

Hello
I just have to laugh now because I can see in to the future.
We are all going to have a race from HELL
Hey Bilbo I only drive from Cockpit view. The only reason I happen to notice the floating car (Not in Pit Lane but out on Track) was because I was trying to get to know this track. I have never raced here before so I thought a birds I view would help me a little.
I only hope that I remember to stay to the left and miss the invisable wall
well I am trying to concentrate on my race the pit entrance making sure I Don't get a drive thru pentaty will trying to even finish at a track I do not have much experience on.
ohh boy this is going to be fun

Hey Hitman, this need to be clear, try it in the pit lane and find the hidden wall.
The Hiden wall is at you left in pit line entrence... stay at your right to get in
The Crhono line count is at your left exiting pit... stay ar you left to go out

so to be clear with the timing line, its on the left, and at pit exit and not start finish? If it is at start/finish, what if you are the unfortunate person to be pitted accross (perpendicular) to start/finish? You would have to cross the yellow line before s/f to get to your pitbox, and when you leave, you would already be past s/f, unless there is no pit there, then nevermind!

Sorry Brad but it not that the problem.
Just wait tonight, Bilbo will put online the update of barhein, and the Chrono will be ok.
The only thing that is not fixed is the invisible wall at pit entrence. The wall is half a car wide on left. I never on 230 lap at Barhein hit that wall and didnt knew it exit until Bilbo told me about it last week...
So tonight, Web site will be update and the mod will be in the download section as soon as Bilbo is available to do it tonight.

whats weird about that wall, was me and hitman(ithink) tested that earlier today and couldnt find the wall at all. we tried every inch of pit in and further down, and didnt hit anything. odd
