Server switch for forum

As most of you have noticed the server that the forum lives on is anything but stable. It keeps crashing for no good reason, and to try to cure this problem we are going to do some major changes on that server.
Until the new webserver for NAR is up and running with forums and all (if I understand correctly someone is setting up a new forum) I am going to move the forums over to a different machine on a different link.
I'll try to make the switch later tonight.

I'm working on setting the new forums up (same software) but I'll hurry thing up. I haven't put much effort in it lately because I haven't been feeling that good (what started as an extended cold is now looking to become a bad flu, of which there is a pretty bad near-epidemic where I work).
I'll try to expedite things up before it's too late (either for your server or for myself!)

If you use the same software then maybe we should just move the existing installation, database and all? Keeping all the articles and users should be a good thing, I think.
It isn't very difficult. I just dump the mysql database to a textfile and tar up the files for the forum. Should be pretty straight-forward.

LOL, read your PM...
Great minds think alike (or something like that, translated from a French expression).

The forum has now been moved to a different link and server. This one should be substantially faster than the old one and hopefully also more stable.

Thanks Dan for all your effort keeping the forum up and running.

I hope you feel better Bilbo, I had that flu last year and it was pretty rough.
