What is the service that use the Relay file? You can use Process Explorer (from the same place you got FileMon) to find out what service that svchost is running, especially since you have the PID.

OK, not really useful. I thought maybe it could have been something like System Restore or Norton Protect since you said you had just uninstalled...

No I don't use any antivirus or stuff like that (only zonealam).. I keep it clean and reinstall at the first sign of trouble.. unfortunately making it mandatory will not enable me to do so (without ghosting).

I attached the filemon output.
I am really sorry but this is far too suspicious.
So, what is suspicious about it ?
Relay.ini is the file where relay reads it's settings from,
neither the readme as it's just a simple text file
Relay reads from it's .ini file and does not use registry entries.

eh.. well the suspicuous part would be that notepad.exe suddenly decides to open relay ini files.

Sorry to say this but with that statement im sure you lack knowlege about how the windows API works.

lol, sure I do..
you fill excessively large structures with excessively redundant information and call some C function ending with Ex.
Anyways, I wasn't posting to diskuss the finer points of the windows API, but simply to see if anyone else is experiencing strange things after installing relay.
(I don't think "knowledge of how the windows API works" is neccessary to spot strange traces of an App that is supposed to be uninstalled)

Hello
I had it relay up and running I raced Monaco with it.
I have to back up a little a week or two ago it installed and was running.
then a few days after it was trying to reinstall itself even thow it was still installed and did not change anything.
So I had to delete it and try to reinstall it kept say can not install relay exe.
After a few times of deleting and redownloading and rebooting I got it installed and race at Monaco now today it is doing it again.
Samething as above
but this time after trying everything it won't install and same error message can not install Relay.exe.
Any suggestions on this.
Also I don't know or think this is right but when I do get it installed it puts
a relay folder with a short cut inside it plus a Relay icon on my desk top
A lttle wierd.
Need help specificly if we are going manatory on this for Silverstone.

K, Noob, you running Xp on a MacIntosh as i can see in your pict? i saw tha apple logo down your pict screen... is this have something to do with the problem? Maybe not.
As for Hitman? i had the same problem with Relay, sudenly it didnt want to work, i click on it and it freeze untill i force it to close. But my log in name was deleted, maybe that was the problem, i may didnt wrote it back like it was before. I thought that i need an update and wait later to get back on site to re-install it, but i lost my internet untill this afternoon, a technician is supose to change my modem.
But before that non opening relay problem (apear 1 week ago), Relay was working realy fine for me, no bug, all smooth as usual.

I think he's just using the apple "look a like" skins in XP. I'm running XP on my mac and when running XP it's just like any other PC. Except it's also a work of art.

Hi,
There was a bug in the last autoupdate, witch made Relay fails to connect to the server.
A manual download of the latest version [0.0.0.735] should solve this.
download it from
http://relay.dynip.com

Lol, Flow, No man I am on a x86 machine.
It is just that Microsoft made XP a bit clumsy looking so I use an OS X skin.
It seems good

Thanks RC
I have installed the Latest update and it installed with ease and so far it is working with out a Issue.
Although it is still putting a extra folder/Icon on my desk top don't understand why but I guess that is the way it is.
Not that it is a big problem just wierd to me since nothing else do's that.

to RC
In the up coming versions or updates will there be something to the effect that it rights a log of any cheets and who is doing it.
I think this would be a good thing to have a report other then it the showing it on the log in page.
It has detected a couple of possiable cheets but with no real info or a way to show or contact a league admin of the possiable prob would make ot hard to get it fixed.
I find it hard to say we have a problem becuase so & so is a posiable cheet when I/We can not show what or help with the problem.
It just seems that the people might not even know that it is happening and they are going to get called out or worse kicked out.

Thanks, new installation worked fine for me. Ecept after 2 or 3 alt tab, the info of Relay in window chat were cut strange. I know it was mentionned thing about alt-tab.
Hitman, i know he told me once that Relay will speek out loud one day. So if a cheating attemp show when a driver join, we will hear it over the game, i think its just like TeamSpeak connection speeking.

Currentlly Relay does not have a decent installer, so the easyest way was a Self extracting archieve. Dependable on what operation system you are it will create a x-tra folder on your desktop. you may delete it.

The Basic tought of Relay is that ALL clients racing [ a league race for example] are connected trough Relay, if any of those clients cheat this will be reported in the client [by name and cheat]. The cheater will be kicked off the Relay client and also his game will shut down.[this feature is not implented yet].
Currently i'm looking into the possibilities of a log, as you request.
Another upcomming feature will be that Relay will report SPOKEN messages if a user cheat, witch other users will hear while they are "in game"
