Well guy admin think about it, and we still stay on our position to NOT USE PATCH FOR FRANCE RACE. A 650MB file to get if some driver show up and dont have it, will delay race for more than 1 hour...

Status is same as Killa post and mail to us 2 days ago.

The BMW drives realy good, maybe a little bit to easy to drive. but i think its much better then the F1c mod whe are using. Tyre damage is on, and i like the iddea off choosing the tyre fore quali and then you also have to use them in race. very very nice.

i hope whe are quik to this BMW car. dont know if its possible with making separte teams etc.. but its fore sure much more fun and realistic then the old mod. little changes on the setup influence a lot on the car. and thats the way it suposed to be.

Some feature are new that can be use now, witch we couldnt before. Seem to be cool. Doest it have possibility to freeze setup for qualif and race, just like if we use the 'close park' for our F1 between Q and R?

did you see the way the AI drives the BMW in montreal ?
It brakes VERY mutch after me , enter curves in spin and then accelerate :?
Result: about 3 sec faster than me .
Can some expert driver explain how to brake in that way?
Maybe this should be a new topic as i think many people will find this interesting.
I used standard setup and don't know what setup AI uses, but seems the same as mine in top speed, so i don't think is mutch different from the standard setup i used.
Answer pls................

Don't know, but just give a look the way AI brakes, with aids or not it brakes in a very short distance.
I also tried to compare telemetry, but when AI drives my car , telemetry just doesn't load lap :(

I havent tested the patch yet but..

- Do you have 100% brake force?
- What happens if you try to brake where the AI breaks?
-- Do you understeer or oversteer if you turn in?
- Are you locking up? (just check replay or telemetry)
-- What wheels lock up first?
- What engine mapping are you using?

Some things about braking I have noticed..

Allow the car to shift weight to the front (don't lock it down too much with dampers) and move brake balance to the front to use the traction provided by the normal force.

At the same time, keep the front from bottoming out (so give more springs at the front / less at the rear and dont set the dampers too soft)

Use less negative camber to get good straight line traction during the braking.

Use a bit more differential to stabilize the rear and allow you to use more engine brake (this is only relevant in some cases depending if you oversteer on turn in or not)

That is all I can think of right now.

What do you guys get at barca, i run some laps today with ingo. I got down to 17.4 and 16 posible.

Standard setup stinks, you need to tweak it alot thats what i did. With standard setup i could onlyu manage about 20 21, after tweaking i got down to 17 low.

Same here mark, i did a 16 9 already. but i did about 50 laps i think.

and i have seen David the man Greco and yea he was also in 16, dont know what he did on the end because i had to leave the server. but iam sure he is able to go to the 15

and when i think off it, i am also sure whe can improve a lot. there is much left on the track, but fore sure in the setups. its great to work on your setup and feel the difference when you change something.

See HERE. As Steve said, this Sunday's race will be using the same stuff as before, namely:

rF 1.070 + F1C 1.05 + physics fix + SteveB's France 1.06

To clear any confusion from anyone, there are NO intentions to make any change to this for Sunday's France race.

If no problems are reported from testing then it is likely that the Germany race will be using rF 1150 but that is yet to be decided and confirmed.

Post by Ruben Miranda »

Hello
I must have not been clear with my ? Sorry

I know we are not updateing to RF 1150 for Sundays race.

What I am asking is when updating RF to the 1150 update do we also install the 1070 update.

Sorry I do not know another way to ask this.

or do we just install the 1150 update on a fresh install of RF before we install any mods or tracks.

I backup my rf folder and want to install rf in my original folder, but it created a new rf game, with empty of all mod, setup and driver,s. Is it the only way, or i forgot to point the update on a existing folder?

ISI recommends making a fresh install, and then adding your mods to the new install, that way you should have less problems
