Before this penalty, I thought (for years) that FIA stood for "Ferrari Is Almighty" due to their reluctance to penalize the red team or the tendency to look the other way when incidents/tractations happened involving red cars, not to mention all the off-camera dealings and all...

And it's not like MS has never pushed things past the acceptable limit before (he has a quite long history of "doubtful" moves, IMO), this one was probably too gross to let go and still maintain any kind of credibility for the FIA. And even if it was a true mistake (which I don't think it is), I'm glad he finally pays a bit (if only to compensate for all others so-called mistakes he got away with).

lol noob, ferrari is feverishly working with massa on this, next time he will be fully prepared for session ending wrecks! btw, i have not seen qualifying, im assuming Micheal stalled after getting pole in session with just a few min to go so renaults(alonso) could not get pole?

edit: this is giving me ideas for tomorrow, muhahahahah

Shumi is not guilty!!! :D

I think it is normal for a ferrari drivers and multiple world champion to have te right to do it :D

I am totally shocked by FIA decision.

on the other Hand He knew the times of Alonso and even if he say he was faster, I dont believe him. whatever if that were true, Schumi would have been 2nd that is a great position to start monaco so in a way it feel odd to do something like this. (I ve to agree it look really like he did it on purpose but I can prevent to ask myself why he did it until He was sure to be at least 2nd!!!!!) :?

Many other was faster before end of qualif but in last sector they couldnt do it so......... Alonso is a mithoman who get a head bigger that what it is.
I am so happy he goes to Mclaren to get Kimi "great-working" car :D

at the end of the day, we will have Alonso with 10 more points, he will think he is a god when in fact Kimi and schumi are much better.
But Like we saw for many years, if you are a good driver and have a great car...... you win the championship.

PS: I vote "yes" he did it on purpose :D

Well all I can say is.
Nice try Micheal but that is just too damn obvious.
Had he not done that he might have been fighting for the win with fernando and Kimi. That is just cheap. The stewards were right to put him back.I would have disqualified him altogether. As for team orders.come on.He runs the team basically.noone told him to do that crap.He did it himself. As for Fisichella. There is no doubt he is very tense this year as he prolly won't be renewed by renault next year.I still belive that fisi is just a mid pack driver.

After reading many posts about this incident one thing is clear: There is a lot of anamosity towards MS and it is much deeper than this one incident. Before now, it has been "when is he going to retire" now if most of the paddock and Europe's media had their way, they would stage a out right coup to remove him from the sport. What is the deal? It couldn't be only this one incident, is it? Could it be just plain jealousy for what he has accomplished in F1? Sorry guys, he will be remembered for many years to come if we like it or not. Get use to it.

At the moment, there seems to be a boycott by the media (mainly in Europe) regarding Ferrari's performance at monaco. So let me update you: MS took fifth (and fastest lap) after starting last on the grid. That is a huge position gain due to simply pure performance. So all those mid-pack runners who jumped on the bandwagon should ask themselves why they could not capitalize on the situation.

I guess it is easier to point fingers. :P

Hello
Well your point being taken Grumble
I am sure some are jeolous and some are envious for the pure Talent MS has.
And with do respect for his talent that I have had since I have been watching F1 (For many Years now)
I tend to lose respect for anyone who would do such a manover to gain pisition or win a race and that goes for anyone on the grid being MS or Sato.
But it really leaves and bad taste in my mouth win someone that not only has the Talent the Car and and more importantly the respect of his peers to blantly cheet the way he did it.

How do you or anyone have respect for someone that would cheat to win.
And if you look back over the years MS has done such moves before this time he got cault.

History will tell you no matter how good you are there will always be someone who do's not like you. And this makes it even worse when you give them wood to burn in the fire.

We all new he has the talent and the speed to win or take secound but he tried to lock in a first place by cheating thats how compeditive he is.

And IMHO this tells me something that his pride and not take another loseing season. So he is reverting to do anything to win.

Plain and simple.Michael schumacher cannot handle losing.
His arrogance dictated that move and thats that. Now he will have to deal with his peers and I have no sympathy for him.And yes Hitman. He has gotten away with a whole lot more through the years.Talented yes,Arrogant totally.
That much talent does not make you a god..period..

To add to the current point, I don't think nobody contests that MS is one of the fastest drivers on the circuit. But let's just say that if he had done just half of the dirty moves he has done in his carreer at the epoch where F1 drivers were real sportsmen (as in sportsmanship), he would probably be walking with cructches due to broken kneecaps... :P
