Ok, but that does not answer the question. If the tire ware indicator is full green after 30+ laps, I really do not think it is indicating anything. I notice this during practice (yes I do practice... :) ) and reaffirmed it during the race.

Hitman, the car did not start pushing until two-thirds into the stint so it was due to tire ware not fuel load. I should have used medium front tires instead of soft. Thanks for the tire ware to laps ranges.

I have seen
Blue= Cold
Pink= Warm
Red= Hot
Light brown/red= very hot ware
Yellow= Damage

Maybe someone else can help you with that one.
Any chance your monitor colors is off or something just a ?

The wear indicators are the tiny bars besides the tyres diagram and they are actually green.

Also, yellow tyre temperature just means really, really hot (>150C) and (probably) not damage, as it goes back to orange and red if you let them cool down after they get to yellow. I'm not saying that you're not damaging them by running at that temperature though...

I can't really say if the wear indicators work or not because I never saw them move in F1C (maybe because I mostly practiced with invulnerability activated) and never developped the habit of really watching it (outside of telemetry) and just went by "feel".

well, oops. i want to apologize to the toyota team, they are not dipshits after all. now for me to look stupid, theres a pit request button? didnt know that. is it only this mod? now that i think about it, i have not done a pit stop at all in rfactor, i guess i should read up on this shit. :oops:

then again, i didnt know there was tire wear indicators either! i doubt i will use it though, i pretty much go by feel. those first laps were super tough, medium tires and 32laps of fuel(i always go 2 laps over, but it always seems to end up being exactly enough, i guess fuel is still off a bit? actually, i had that with f1challenge, seems i always had to put in more fuel than what it said i needed, i guess i use alot of fuel the way i drive?) anyways, congrats to the podium finishers, 2 wins now for flow, starting to look like last year, i better stop screwing around!!!!

humm, your confusing me, did F1Chalenge had same button for calling pit? At least i remember that it was possible to say no to pit call in old game, but calling it, dam i have a blank about it... :?

in f1challenge i would just pit when i needed to, i didnt push any buttons, and the team never said anything. i assumed rfactor was the same way. so now im confussed, when im ready to pit, there is a button i need to push before hand to tell the team?

Yes, it was the same button in F1C to call a pitstop and to call it off. I know, I had so many "unplanned" pitstops! :oops:

In rFactor, I have never waited for the team to call me in ("don't call me, I'll call you"), so I don't know if it works or not. I'm a software developer and I have learned very long ago to NEVER trust computers with anything important! :wink:

I always thought that the color bars on the side of the tires where for side wall damage or suspension damage. The color of the tire it's self tells weather it is cold hot warn damaged on the tread side anyway. :shock:

ohh, and kaali, you definatly didnt touch me at all, im sorry that me screwing up my pit in caused you to crash. it took so long to pass, becasue i was trying not to pass you. we were going down the back straight, and i was about to go in for my stop. i was trying to avoid getting infront of you, then slowing you down as i get into pit lane, especially since i was not 100% sure where pit lane was!(man i was cracking up when i read your post "brad parked wierd like he didnt know where pit lane was" because thats exactly what happend! lol sry buddy :(

Well Hitma im starting to get confused, i was following you 100% Hitman, i was on same mind of you, but il have to watch out better next time.

Tire can get colored from temperature, and yellow bulb apear when you damage car, but tire wear, i dont know where it is...

lol flow. you know, ive been giving it some thought, and ive decided to make my setups available for anyone that wants them. ive done that a bit in the other league, me and my teamate (Lennart Shreiber) share setups often, although are styles are so different to be of little use. so far, everyone that has tried my setup says that its basically undrivable. which is funny, because when i try others setups, i think the same thing! from what ive gathered, i like the car with as much possible front grip as i can get, and then i slide the rear around the front. it seems alot of people are just the opposite, tons of rear grip, but little front grip, which for me is undrivable. (with the exception of limpsters australia setup, kinda low front grip, but somehow it works for me, which is very rare, keep hooking me up limpy!!! lol)

Congrats to all three podium winners, I watched a few laps after my exit and there were some great battles going on.
I wanted to ask a question though with regards to pit stops.

If you over shoot the pit box or undershoot, will this negate the pit request?
I undershot the pit box had to restart and move forward, I then overshot and had to reverse to get in. LOL I must have looked like my wife trying to parallel park. Any how after finally getting in the box nothing happened so I called for the crew again and waited still nothing.

If anyone can shed light on this I would love to know the answer.

Hitman, about the tyre wear bars: that's what they said in the F1C manual. I just assume it's the same in rF...

Ronny: Most likely, you had your LCD on the "pitstop" page (fuel/tyres/repairs). If that was the case, your crew was just waiting for you to confirm your request (i.e. switch to another page). I've been bitten a few times by this in the past.

Brad mate, I said no problem. What I was worried about was that you never know what lag can cause. Everytime I race with you guys I am a nerve wreck 'cos I am so afraid that I will crash your game because of my connection. So when Brad was lapping me I kinda have a feeling where he was but not 100% certain and when I passed Brad at the end of backstraight I kinda know where he was but not 100%. Another thing is I am in a learning stage in rF and the race @ Sepang was my first real test with a race setup. To be honest I still need ALOT of practice hence my slow performance. :oops:

Well, I look forward to the rest of the season. Hopefully I can give some battle up front and not just in the middle. :wink:

For me np Kaali, i know your a lag possibility, the only thing i see from you in race is that your car is little agnle, i mean little sideway, but im use to it, so i just take little more precaution, but dont realy bather with me. Theyr another driver that im realy seeing lag and i when i get in is back, i realy stay away and take alot of precaution and i know i cant drive right in is ass, so i wait for him to mistake or i wait till i realy have a clean way to pass him. In other hand its not bad, that way im shure we wont get contact by being too close, hehe :wink:

That's exactly what happened, i was adjusting fuel, realized i didn't need to because on first lap and did'nt change it; did'nt realize I had to. I'm offically a dumbass in this case LOL.

Myself was convinced the little green bars besides the wheels are brake indicators, funny to see we all have another interpretation :)
I will take a closer look on these things next sessions.
