Yeah it could of being worst, luckily it was not the downshift. Tomorrow Im going to start taking the whole wheel apart gived it a wd-40 spray inside the upshift button and then test it at Monza. Hopefullly everthing goes well because if not I will definately not race like this for Magny Cours. I'll let you know tomorrow if I get my wheel fixed Bilbo thks.

Ahhh well I have to agree with you there motorhead.I have had my microsoft sidewinder forcefeedback for 3 years as well.I use it as a spare as I bought a momo wheel and like it for driving better. The problem with the upshifting has reared its ugly head with mine as well. Not very often mind you but once in a while. Its summer break finally.I have decided to run in a GTR league for a bit as the netcode is much better.F1 is getting boring as f1c has more bugs than a fear factor episode.Hopefully rfactor will be released soon and fix alll that crap.good luck with the wheel.I think you'll need it.

Hello Motor
I have the same wheel in fact I have 2 :) If you need a part such as the circuit bourd (shift censer is on) I have one.
But do not use WD40 to clean it first it is not made for electrical parts 2nd it will atract more dirt particals.
What you want to do is wipe it down and blow out any dirt on the electical componets. You can buy a Air canister and any comp store there only a couple of bucks.

Good luck

Upshift gear lever paddle is welll-adjusted and working properly now, thks Hitman took your advice about the air canister :). I know this wheel is not going to last me that long from the looks of it, so I guess it's time to buy a new wheel like a Logitech Momo and a pair of BRD pedals.....I think this is a good combination right?

About the Euro race results, unless I am told otherwise, I had to enter the following in the results database:

6 Svoge DNF (not on Mac's result screen)
7 MeoPhoenix DNF (lost connection)

Please contact me or Flow if this is incorrect.

This is the result as its counts for now,... still unoficial beacuse i still dont have a proper working replay. The one from meo i cant do anything with cuz she is alone on track with it. She also sende me an other one and that one mine game crash to desktop when the cars are passed turn 1 :? so im still waiting for a good replay,... will get it tomorow.

A few things i can answer for now.

Meo got disconected and i cant let it count in the results so she is a DNF (im sry for you meo)

2nd Klaaz and Svogge are having an warning because they did not an LC start. next time you will get penalized.

3th,.. tomorow i will investigate some other things when i have the right replay.

Im sry for the delay.

Mark Aalberts

@CHIMP "abandon" is the nice french word the game send us when a player stalled and retired.
So that's what happened to Klazz unfortunately.

hmmm i really used lc, but my wheels still spin occasionally.
any advice on how to use that F%^&#$g LC like i supposed too?
like i say ive never used it before.

here s what i did: on red lights i put on a little throttle and press lc,
when lights go out i let go of lc button and drive away, most times still a little wheelspin, but still way slower than my normal start

any tips i appriciate

Very simple Klaaz,
Hold the launch control button first then put your throttle to the floor.
Then wait till the lights go out and hopefully you will pass everyone..LOL...
the wheel spin you are experiencing is probably from using very little throttle.Just hold her down until you hit the brake.Unlike real formula 1.Noone has an advantage using launch control.Everyone should be headed into the first corner at the same time. When you hit the brakes however,is when the real carnage begins in the first corner...LOL>..

thx Carrera, i think ure right about the possible carnage in 1st corner, wich can be avoided by a manual start i think, because the grid will be more spread then. But hey, who am i, i dont set the rules.....

Manual start can't avoid T1 carnage, what you're saying here... these are two different situations.
Starting is about getting away and T1 is mainly about braking distances.

LaunchControl helps at start for sure as we will never see a car spinning instead of getting away and that's usefull.

Guys remember you're supposed to follow the rules first

LC how to use

asign a button for LC,.. then at the start you push the button and hold it,.. then you give full trottle and when the lights go off you release the LC button and away you go. (i dunno,..... is this so difficult  )

For the ones who dont want to believe me that manual is faster,.. just take a look at the replay and you will see for example svogge he did manual that he drives so easy past the polesitter,..... i dunno but thats simply an advantage and thats why LC start is mandatory!!!!!

Thats the main reason why its not allowed,... 2nd if everyone uses a manual then the risk to spin at the start and make carnage is also higher,... another reason.

About T1 carnage,.. i dunno that has nothing to do with LC start or manual  ,.....

When RH04 was introduced its also been told that everyone should use LC,.... and that still counts.

Yeah its posible what has said for you, you probably didnt pushed full trottle i think....

You have to give full trottle then the LC stays working, once you release the trottle the LC stops and you have to shift manual again.

If you didnt pushed full trottle then its good posible that you came off the place but LC quited right away.

Its just a warning lol,... anyway you know it for the next time now.

the easiest way for me to use LC, First, mash the accel pedal to the floor < do not put car in gear, LC does this automatically > THEN push and HOLD the LC button, when lights go out, let go of LC button, thats it !! Off you go, no wheel spin :D
I may be slow, but at least I'm consistantly slow !
