new wheel

Post by carrera »

Well ,
The old microsoft sidewinder finally had a bushing go in the wheel so I bought a black momo.It is a hard piece of equipment to get used to.The angle of the wheel is too much and I have to somehow get it angled down or 100% races could be painful. The pedals are shorter than the sidewinder also and the brake is definitely more touchy.I am going to practise with it today but My times are not quite up there yet.I should be ok by qualifying time today.Still.It takes some gettin used to.Overall though I like the wheel although I may have to get an aftermarket set of pedals as i hear these ones give out prematurely. Its something like getting a new girlfreind. It always cost you more money than you thought and you never know what you'll get out of it.Good thing though. The wheel will never bitch at you and it never gains weight

i have the black momo m8, and love the wheel, but the pedals are crap, they WILL go whacko on you, the throttle pedal is the culprit, unless they have fixed em

Hey guys.
I already have the wheel fixed and it is on my other machine ready to go.I plan on using the momo wheel though for the race as I am used to it now.I will use the other wheel for NAscar simracing. Now I have both wheels to choose from..LOL....
