Well that win was handed to me but what the hell.I managed to not crash and that was the important part...LOL....
Steve was just pluggin along and Bilbo should have had first place but lost it in the esses on a curb.
I lucked out and went off the road but stayed in control and drove her home for the win.
The renault team deserves this .We have had a drought for a bit.Gotta get rid of petrov though sheesh..slacker...
carrera

Re: NA 2010 Japanese GP race reports
First, thanks to Eleanor for sharing his set as that allowed me to do regular 34s on race fuel (my PB before that was in the 35s).
My race was almost good, although the start was a bit hairy with Lion_Heart stalling in front of me. The "almost" happened when I crashed 2 laps from the 90% distance and the points, climbing a curb a bit too deeply in the esses. Lost a wheel then blew the engine trying to exit the sandtrap (I was hoping to limp to my pits and try to complete my 2 laps for the points, however slowly, but that was not to be).
See you in Brazil, hopefully with a few more drivers on the grid...

Re: NA 2010 Japanese GP race reports
Ahhhh, I FINALLY finished a race !!! Even though it was only 50%, it still feels good to make it to the end !!! And I got a podium to boot ( well, ok, only 2 people finished ) Congrats to Carrera for a great win!!
I may be slow, but at least I'm consistantly slow !
