No more medal in F1 for 2009? FiA is thinking to wait...
FiA is thinking about reporting to next year the medal system. Drivers association and teams put pressure to not use that way of awarding races. FIA is thinking about it, and could wait for 2010 to use it.

That's because the FIA was going against the rules if they were going to put this into effect this season.Flow wrote:FiA is thinking about reporting to next year the medal system. Hello Gents
Glad they are not doing the Awards.
But I heard that they doing something like
The driver that wins the most race wins the Championship no matter what the points are.
Do's not make sense to me
Anyone here or know more about this.

I heard that too Ruben, What I think they should do, is make wins worth MORE points, say 12 or 15 instead of 10, and leave the rest of the point totals the same as before.
I may be slow, but at least I'm consistantly slow !
Re: No more medal in F1 for 2009? FiA is thinking to wait...
but, before you get all excited and as Flow reported:http://www.formula1.com/inside_f1/rules_and_regulations/sporting_regulations/8681/ wrote:In a change for the 2009 season onwards, the winners of the drivers’ and constructors’ championships are determined in slightly different ways. The driver with the most race wins is crowned drivers’ champion, and only if two or more drivers share the same number of wins are their points totals then used to decide the title.

Hi fellow racers,
Well BAsically the FIA waited too long and it goes against their own rules that they made themselves.Kinda like the
FIA is trying to get a blowjob but they are not allowed to use Viagra and they're too old to get it up....yep.....defeated themselves.
These rules are absolutely unecessary. They changed the back wing configuration and introduced KERS so they could have more overtaking.
Isn't that enough?I thought it would be but apparently not enough for the FIA.Think of this for a moment. They restrict money and engines then they wonder why noone overtakes anymore.COuld it be they have to make the engine last maybe? If they lifted the restriction on how many engines you could use then the drivers would push them to the limits instead of turning the revs down. There is way too much politics here in F1.Contradictions galore.
As for my analogy about the FIA and blowjobs.Well they are the ones giving those which earns them another name which I will not write.

Sign this petition if you love F1
Normaly im not that kind of person who is taking part in petitions and those kind of crapp, but this time i felt i had to sign it. Its time they wake up at FIA, it are a bunch of ignorance retards who think they know best for our F1 fans. Its time they will start to understand that all the damn rule changes dont make a difference at all and is destroying the sport.

Re: No more medal in F1 for 2009? FiA is thinking to wait...
And FIA said in their defence that they "thought" FOTA agreed with them, while FOTA thought the idea was absurd. In other words, they did not even bother consulting FOTA about this decision, and they must have completely ignored the survey about what the fans thought about this (they apparently wanted a 12-9-7 etc. points system or something similar, me included for that matter).
I mean, what is the problem of just increasing the winners points compared to 2nd place, so the consistency can still be rewarded? huh?
But the FIA is and has, as long as I can remember, always been shitbrains. So I bet we can expect another incredibly stupid decision of some sort during this season. Just a feeling..

I did think it was a bit odd that they could introduce such a big rule change only 10 days before the season starts. Hopefully this means it won't happen now.

I don't think that the FIA gets these ideas on their own.
The F1 GP uses the medal system.
I agree with raising the amount of points.....make it so that the winner of a race gets a ton of points making it harder for
2nd, 3rd etc. so they fall farther and farther behind something like the MOTO GP points system.

Why should it even be changed, last 2 years have been so exiting in years mainly due to the point system!! think about that.
And i agree that the petition doesnt realy mean anything, i just had to get it posted to get rid of some frustations caused by those retards called FIA.

Hello
I like some of the changes for this season as some of them are putting the (IMHO) car back in the drivers hand.
And should lead to closer and better races. Again MHO
As for the points leave well enough alone
And don't mess with Qual anymore it is already screwed up.
If they want to get the fans to the races then get to racing and get on with it. MHO
As far as I can tell I would say that if the FIA did not change anything they would be out of a job so they keep thinking up stupid shit just to keep there job
I really can not wait for the start of the season I think it will be fantastic.

I think it must be written in law somewhere, that the FIA have to change the Formula One rules each and every season, just to be sure that casual F1 fans haven't got a clue what the hell is going on.dutch power wrote:Why should it even be changed, last 2 years have been so exiting in years mainly due to the point system!! think about that.
