Was fun, croudy tongiht. 12 drivers in server, even Koma join us, long time.
I didnt done my best qualif, but still was able to steal the 2nd to Carrera (anyway, what difference it does after T1
) in middle race i went again behind Carrera and had to slow to let him go away, bad drop of fps again when i was close to him. strange 1st time it does that with him. I had a bad start, and went just behind Carrera who was doing inside to Brad. From there i had a bad fps drop to 12-15, screen slow picture, and was seeing Brad ass to fast, lol so i hit brake and turn left to save T1 for both of them... and in was kissing the wall
Lost front wing, went straith and wait to lett all driver pass, got a stop and go, wow was going bad. More bad when i had to do my stop and go, and NO way they will let me repair first, i had to pit out, with broken wing and come back next lap to repair. Pit out 10 sec in front of Carrera (1st) but i was now last (12th)
I expect a 2nd or 3rd, but got a 4th, coming back from 12th, i think it was more than excellent! I was chasing Juan so badly to steal the 3rd, but he never mistake!
Congratulation all and cya next week in Belgium!

I must say I'm very happy with tonights race. After turn 1 I was in 3rd and held it all the way till brad exited the race and I got second. I did spin when Paul was going to let me go in the second chicane. I was a bit surprised at it and lost control. I lost about 6 seconds to steve. Somewhere arounf there bilbo must have overtaken him and was slowly closing down the gap to me. My car needed to burn off fuel before I wanted to push. So I just tried to hang in there. After bilbo lost time I just cruised to the finish. Big thanks to steve and paul for letting me try their setup. I wish my teamate could have got a good finish. Sorry things didn't work out Steve. See ya at Spa.

First, big thanks to Paul for sharing his setup. It was good from the start and I did not have to tweak that many things to both be fast and safe.
I did a relatively good time (for me, PB being 1:23.7) of 1:23.9 in Q, which was good for a surprising 5th on the grid. Surprising, because, looking at the pre-race practice times, it looked like I should have been further down the grid.
The race start was relatively clean from my end but I got Hitman on my ass soon enough and, looking at my mirrors, it looked like he was taking the inside entering Lesmo #1, so I take the line a bit more on the outside to give room but end up going wide in the sand. So I went through the sand while the pack was going by and rejoined the track in 11th. I'm not too disappointed yet because ealier I had been contemplating not qualifying and starting from the back, so this was leaving me pretty much in the same position I had contemplated.
From then on, I start going on my rythm again and catch up and pass Mike, Paul, Xz, Juan who all let me pass nicely (thanks guys!). I then reel SteveB in about half a second per lap but, just before going for the pitstops, I spin myself at the Variante della Roggia (the chicane before the Lesmos) and lose at least 5 seconds there. SteveB is about 9 seconds in front as we both do our pitstops but he's only 3.5 seconds in front as we exit (had an oil change, SteveB?
).
So I continue catching up and spend a couple of laps on SteveB's ass (~0.5 secs) before he misses T1 and I almost follow him there. Catching myself in time, I then go on to attack Aaron whom I can catch up but slowly. Some laps he would maintain or even expand his advance but some other laps he would lose 0.5 to 1.0 second. Things look good until I get about 3 seconds behind him and on lap 32, after an attack of brain fade, get confused in my brake markers and actually forget to brake for the Parabolica until it's way too late. So that nasty tyre wall at the end of the sand trap jumped at my car, crushed my front wing and kicked the suspension hard. While trying to get out of the quicksands, I dial my pitstop to take on enough gas to make it to the end (keeping on my 2-stops strategy) and salvage some points.
After that, with a bent suspension, I could only do my best to keep the car on the track until someone mercyfully put an end to this race. With Flow roughly a lap ahead and Paul a lap behind at that point, there was no point pushing and risking another accident.
I'm happy with the finish (don't have too many of them this season) but I'm a bit sad to have let another podium possibility go by my own fault (running out of fuel while fighting Hitman at Turkey and a big mistake here fighting Aaron)...
Still, it was a fun race and with a good turnout for this point in the season. Thanks a lot guys and see you next week at Spa!

Well I got a great start and put the gas to the floor I made it to the inside of the chicane and came out ahead of Brad and flow.I was worried right from the start that Brad was on a one stop strategy so I went as fast as I could.I could tell that 2 parts of the track I was a little quicker at.so i kept at it.I could not really tell what was happening behind me with Brad and flow but lag seemed to play a part in it.I only saw a couple peoples times freeze for a split second but that was it..I could tell Brad was going to kick out due to connection problems a couple of laps before it happened. His time disappeared totally and that usually means DC...Congrats to Aaron who's second place was well deserved...excellent racing...thanx all.
carrera

carrera

Quote"Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?' The girl said, 'NO!' And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and went fishing and hunting and played golf a lot and drank beer .The end""
congrats carrera, aaron and juan on the podium positions! yea i decided to switch to one stop in warmup, seems like the time drop wasnt to bad, i was wrong. carrera got me into t1, i probably went a bit to conservative into it
sorry if that caused you to spin flow. after that just tried to maintain the ever growing gap to carrera. i knew he was on a 2 stop, i figured if i could keep it to 10 seconds or so per stint of carreras id be ok, but no i spin and give him 15 in the first damn stint. i noticed the lag also, this is now 2 races for me to get some lag, not bad mind you, but its there. carrera, i didnt dc, going through ascari i got some lag right as i was sliding out, and it just put me in the grass that bit to much, spin, wall, wing, suspension, pretty much in that order:) the suspension was jacked so i didnt even try to make it to the pits. oh well, got pole, im kinda concentrating on getting pole for the remainder of the races, so im doing ok on that. still not a win though

Don't know why
Hello
Congrates to all
I have never done well at Monza (Personaly find this track borring)
But I felt good this time My setup was great for me my times where 1:24 1:25 on a race set so that made me a little confident may be to confident.
I messed up my qual run
But got a great start came out of t1 5th got passed Bilbo and then I (Messed up) instead of taking my time I pushed way to hard (I Arron) and lost front end grip twice at the same corner
Did not learn anything the first time had to try a 2nd time
well that did not work Pfffft
Went in to the wall loseing wings and damaging my suspension came out of the pits 12th and there was no way the car was drivable so I went home.
As they say
Shoda couda wouda vedvedvede thats all folks
Cu at SPA Love this track

NP brad, as is was folowing you, i had no lag, but twice i went behind Carrera, i had bad drop of fps, unde 20 its undrivable, and it was neer 12 to 15, so imagine... not even shure if Carrera was my problem, maybe the mixt of you and Carrera or only Carrera. Anyway, it was 1st time that it was doing that. Last time i had fps auto set to 20, and now it was off, maybe i should try it back to auto fps at a certain number, will try it.

cool, my lag seemed intermittent through the race, usually when i was by myself. i hope its not me causing the lag, ive had it 2 races in a row and time warner cable bought out north texas from comcast, and ive had time warner(supposed to be exactly the same internet connection) for the last 2 races.....hmmm
oh yea, i wanna say great job to carrera on passing me t1, nice and clean, and at that point, what won him the race! (had i not wrecked) i knew he(and flow) would be quicker on there 2 stop(so did they:) but i think he knew i was running a low downforce setup (ya, monza, imagine that) compared to him that if he didnt get me right away, could probably not draft me down the straights, and getting past in lesmos or ascari is pretty tough, not to say he couldnt do it. so that was my goal, lead lap one then just try and hold off carrera and flow through the slow stuff. so brilliant move by carrera at the start, race strategy kids!!!!
just curious, whats the highest speeds peeps were hiting here? i could do 215 on the front straight by myself, in the draft 220, although in testing i hit 224:)

Hey Brad, my goal was to sqeeze Carrera behind you and make my way inside T1, but my mistake on start, leaving mutch space for carrera so he move in front of me, and i went in back of you and too close, hit brake too hard and avoid you car by going left, straigt in wall. In fact fps was bad, but lag is no excuse, i just needed to adjust to lag situation and make my way the best i can.
I cant wait next race to have another exciting start, just like as usual.
My speed alone was 330kmh, but with draft i could reatch 350kmh. I was faster in qualif by 5kmh, since i was racing with +2 more wing, with fuel, it was better.
