TV Style plugin help needed!

Post by Fred »

Hi guys,

I installed the TV style Plugin some days ago. I know you can customize it to fit what you want to see in game, but I don't know how to do it.
I want to get rid of the annoying sector time displays and how many laps of the race is left etc. I only want to see the rev meter and the throttle/brake/fuel consumption.

Can anybody help me?

Cheers,
Fred

Hi Fred,

In your rFactor main folder you should see the TVMENU.EXE, open it and select GRAPHICS OPTION.
Then on the top of the TV-STYLE CONFIG window you will see PROFILE click the arrow for the drop down box
and select the TV STYLE you will be using (I use RF1_2007).

When it loads you will see a bunch of tabs, click the TV INFO and deselect whatever checked boxes that are there.
Then click the TV STANDINGS tab and do the same there, then TV OTHER and LIVE TIMING and do the same to these.

Then you click SAVE PROFILE at the top.

Then you click on MOD SELECTOR on the right, select the mod you are using and click the arrow for the drop down box,
select the TV STYLE you just configured and click SAVE.

You can also resize the REV METER so it isn't that big.

This is what I changed mine to:

Image> 180 260 200 250 3
Needle (centre)> 90 90
Throtle/Brake> 70 47 92 362 3
Speedometer> 720 509 198 410 3
Gears> 90 60 55 341 3
Fuel/Lap> 195 438 3
RPM> 6000 20000 360

Make sure you make these changes (if you want them) along with the other changes
then click on save before you go into the mod selector.

YOUR DONE !!!

Hope this helps. :)

Thanks Kaff :)

There are many different TV STYLES that have been made.
I will try to find them and post them here.

Steve, did you notice that on some cars, the LCD in the wheel doesn't work with this add on? I tried it too, but on my Williams, no LCD info with this mod. I noticed the same on Ferrari, Honda, Renault, and Force India too if I remember correctly...

Would be cool if they could fix it, they do look good !!!

The shift/rpm LEDs were fine, I am talking about the info on the LCD, in the center of the wheel, speed, fuel, etc...And I tried the one you just posted here, no other ones...

I hadn't installed 0.9 and 0.91 I had only installed the style.

So I went to http://www.dinix-project.net/

Downloaded and installed in order 0.9 and 0.91

Then installed the style again.

It then worked.
